Yeah, the next character to talk about is Anton Chigur (Javier Bardem). I believe people will say that this is the coolest character in the movie. You’ll find this guy as a top, cold blooded, no-fear-no-pain murder. He would kill only because he wants to. He never needs any reason to kill. When he promises to kill you, well, you can expect that he comes to you and ask you to choose between head and tail, and the coin will decide whether or not you deserve the killing.
Another cool character of his is his being ultra tidy. He’s a clean man in spite of his occasional blood shed during efforts to murder. The amazing thing is that he knows well how to kill, how not to be killed, how to prevent himself from dying from too much bloodshed (hey, he knows medical clinics and how to use anesthesia, although he himself hardly ever shows any symptoms of pain), how to kill without leaving any proofs, and all.
I myself felt a sympathy when once he has an accident and a bone stuck out of his lower arm. Wow! It’s the coolly coolest character in the movie in all literary senses.
